POSITION: PROJECT COORDINATOR (REMOTE)



ABOUT US


Magee Leadership Solutions, Inc. is currently looking for a PROJECT COORDINATOR to join our team! We are a small, woman-owned business who provides consulting services in the infrastructure construction industry. We facilitate strategic planning workshops with contractor and owner teams and help them identify common goals and ways to work more effectively together. We also provide coaching services to help leaders and managers become more successful in their roles. We are headquartered in Southern California and serve clients across the country, including several in the mid-Atlantic and southeast U.S. and throughout California.


POSITION DESCRIPTION


We are looking for someone who is ambitious, energetic, and outgoing. The ideal candidate must be willing to take direction, work independently and take initiative to meet deadlines and achieve goals, while being detail-oriented, people-oriented and team-oriented! This position will be remote (work from home) with occasional participation in on-site meetings at client offices and/or job site locations. Several projects are located in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area and several are in the Atlanta, Georgia area, so the ideal candidate would be located in one of these two areas in order to support occasional on-site meetings (~once/month).

This is initially a part-time position that reports to the President of the company and will support the company in performing a variety of day-to-day tasks, including but not limited to the following:


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Programming and administering on-line surveys to solicit client feedback and monitor team performance (use of SurveyMonkey to program surveys and email to send to clients)
  • Preparation of summary reports (written, charts/graphs, PowerPoint slides)
  • Preparation of PowerPoint presentations
  • Preparation of meeting notes
  • Scheduling appointments with clients
  • Serve as “co-host” for video conference meetings (manage waiting room, breakout groups, polling questions, etc.)
  • Maintenance of project / client contact lists and other project documents
  • Handing of meeting / events logistics, such as working with clients to ensure proper conference room arrangements, audio-visual set-up, arranging catering, etc.)
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Exceptional computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office is mandatory:
    • Word (basic formatting, inserting graphics, creating tables, mail merge)
    • Excel (formulas, creating charts, graphs, formatting)
    • PowerPoint (creating slide templates, inserting tables, graphics, video clips)
    • Experience with Apple’s Pages a plus!
  • Experience with programming on-line surveys using SurveyMonkey a HUGE plus!
  • Experience with file sharing capabilities including the use of Google Drive and other Google products such as Jamboard
  • Experience with video conferencing platforms to host meeting, primarily Zoom, including the creation of polling questions, breakout groups, setting timers, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and personal values
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize multiple projects across different time zones (US Eastern to Pacific)
  • attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to follow-through on commitments to meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience/interest in the construction industry (mainly heavy civil construction such as highways, bridges, water treatment facilities, etc.) a HUGE plus
  • Background in organizational development, human resources, communications, psychology, journalism preferred.
  • Familiarity with the CliftonStrengths assessment a plus
  • One to three (1 – 3) years of relevant professional experience preferred
